8:25 – 8:35 - Certificate of Need Registration No. 10-3-1 for Sibley Memorial Hospital - On Dec 2, 2009

ANC3D voted to support BZA 18007 which resulted in the State Health Planning and Development Agency

issuing Certificate of Need Registration No. 10-3-1 for Sibley Memorial Hospital’s Certificate of Need (CON) for

Replacement Cancer Center, Emergency Department Expansion and Replacement Bed Facilities. Construction

is on schedule to be completed in mid-2016. A CON is valid for three years. Sibley Hospital requests support

for the renewal of CON 10-3-1. This application is in the single member district of Commissioner Stu Ross. Link

8:35 – 8:55 - Preliminary discussion of proposed liquor license at 4866 Massachusetts Ave. This issue is in the

single member district of Commissioner Nan Wells.

 

8:55 – 9:15 - Traffic Concerns in the 5100 block of Manning Place, 3300 block of Maud street and 4900 block

of Palisade Lane, NW - Chris Archer, Manning Place N.W. resident, will present information about dangerous

traffic concerns on these streets. These streets are in the single member district of Commissioner Stu Ross.

 

9:15 – 9:45 - ABRA-095362 for 7th Pizza at 4885 MacArthur Blvd., NW - applicant has applied for a new

Retailer’s Class “C” Restaurant license. Objectors are entitled to be heard before the granting of such license

on the Roll Call Hearing Date at 10:00 am, August 4, 2014 at 2000 14th Street, N.W., 400 South, Washington,

DC 20009. Petitions and/or requests to appear before the Board must be filed on or before the Petition Date

on July 21, 2014. The Protest Hearing Date is scheduled on September 24, 2014 at 4:30 pm. This application is

9:45 – 9:55 - Best Buddies Special Olympics Challenges - Julie Hanson will present information on the event

planned for October 18, 2014. Best Buddies International is the world's largest non-profit organization

devoted solely to providing opportunities for friendships and jobs for people with intellectual disabilities. The

20 mile bike ride will be the same route as used for the last four years. The 20 mile ride would begin at 7:45am

and be completed by 10:30am.
