ANC 3B BUSINESS

Police Report

Representative from MPD’s Sex Crimes Unit to Explain Process and Procedures for Reporting and Investigating Sex Crimes and to Answer Questions. At about 1 a.m. on June 1, a sexual assault occurred in the Glover Park commercial district.  Many residents wanted to know more about this incident, but the police have strict policies about the information they give out about sex-related crimes.  MPD will explain those policies and why they are necessary, and also answer questions about sex-crime policing.

Marc Battle, Vice President, District of Columbia, Pepco Region, re: Exelon/Pepco acquisition. In April 2014, Pepco announced that the utility would be qcquired by Chicago-based Exelon Corporation.  Pepco officials have asked to attend the ANC meeting to discuss the impact that this merger would have on Pepco customers and ratepayers.

Discussion of New Construction Plans and Requested Zoning Exemption for 3915 and 3919 Fulton St. NW, including potential ANC 3B vote on support or opposition to exemption.  ANC3B will hear from neighbors, legal representative and developer of properties located at 3915 and 3919 Fulton Street NW. The developer plans to demolish the two existing single family homes and build a three story condo on each property.

Discussion and Potential ANC 3B Vote Regarding Delays in Glover Park Infrastructure Projects.Several DDOT projects in Glover Park have been interrupted, delayed or not undertaken when promised, including sidewalk repair on Tunlaw between 37th and W Place, the repair of the W Place steps, and other critical improvements previously agreed to.  ANC3B will discuss ways to pressure DDOT to be more responsive and to get the work done.
