Call to order
[7:09 pm] Chair Adam Hoey called the July meeting of ANC1D to order at 7:09 pm. Four commissioners were
present: Adam, Jack, Phil, and China.
Announcements
[7:10 pm] Commissioners offered public announcements.
Public Discussion
[7:15 pm] The meeting was opened to public discussion.
Secretary’s report
[7:26 pm] Jack asked if there were corrections to the minutes of the June 17 2014 meeting. No corrections were
offered, and the minutes were declared accepted.
Treasurer’s report
[7:27 pm] Jack asked if there were any concerns about two routine expenditures: Tony Grillo, $50, postering for
the June meeting; Hearsay Interpreting, $100, for Spanish interpreting at this meeting. No concerns or
objections to these expenditures were expressed by the commissioners.
Jack noted that he had paid $106.20 in January for hosting of the anc1d web site, and asked approval
for reimbursement. Reimbursement approved by general consent.
Jack showed the quarterly report for Q3FY2014 on screen, and moved that this report be approved by
the commission for delivery to the auditor. Quarterly report approved by 4 to 0 vote.
Unfinished business: Mount Pleasant Street Treebox cleaning
[7:30 pm] Phil moved that this resolution be tabled until the next meeting. Motion passed, 4 to 0 vote.

Unfinished business: 1821 Newton St HPRB
[7:32 pm] After summarizing the status of this application at the HPRB, considered at their July 10 meeting,
Jack asked permission to withdraw this resolution. Permission to withdraw granted, 4 to 0 vote.
Permit proposed work at 1837 Kilbourne Place
[7:34 pm] Jack moved the following resolution:
ANC1D advises the Historic Preservation Review Board that the work planned for 1837 Kilbourne
Place NW, HPA 14-537, is compatible with the character of the Mount Pleasant Historic District, being
rear additions onto midrow houses, entirely concealed from the public street by the row.
Resolution passed, 4 to 0 vote.
Permit proposed work at 1834 Lamont Street
[7:36 pm] Jack moved the following resolution:
ANC1D advises the Historic Preservation Review Board that the work planned for 1834 Lamont Street
NW, HPA 14-538, is compatible with the character of the Mount Pleasant Historic District, being rear
additions onto midrow houses, entirely concealed from the public street by the row.
Resolution passed, 4 to 0 vote.
Omit August meeting
[7:41 pm] Jack moved that there be no August meeting of ANC1D, barring the appearance of some issue of
critical importance.
Resolution passed, 4 to 0 vote.
