Commissioners The regular monthly meeting of the Advisory Neighborhood Commission 1B
occurred on Tuesday, April 3rd, 2014, at 7:00 pm in the Reeves Center,
Marc D. Morgan, Vice Commissioner James Turner being present as chair. Other commissioners

Dyana Forester, Treasurer James Turner opened community announcements. DDOT and a highschool
theater troupe made announcements to the commission.

ABC Report
Nick Baumann gives the ABC Committee report.
Holness moves to accept the recommendation of the ABC committee to
protest Darnell's on peace, order and quiet. Approval by unanimous consent.

Design Review
Lela Winston give the Design Review Committee report.

Public Safety
Holness gives the monthly crime data report for ANC 1B.
Transportation Committee
Ben Klemens presents the transportation committee report.
Holness moves to support the Florida Avenue Streetscape Project. Approval
by unanimous consent. Motion passes.
Zahra moves to support and applaud DDOT's 15th and V plans. Approval by
unanimous consent. Motion passes.
Turner moves to request assistance from DDOT in compiling statistics about
available parking and parking demand in the Mid-City area, studying `best
practices' and potential short- and long-term solutions to current visitor,
residential and commercial parking issues, including demand management.
Approval by unanimous consent. Motion passes.
Zahra moves to oppose the valet parking staging area at Kapnos. Approval by
unanimous consent. Motion passes.
Grants
Holness moves to support a grant as recommended by the Grants committee
for the Funk Parade. Approval by unanimous consent. Motion passes.
